Weekend Escape to Springbrook: Hiking, Campfire Tales, and Hidden Falls

Gday readers.

Well its Thursday. No sooner have we washed of the dust from last weekends trip to Grassy Head than it's time to plug in the trailer and cool down the fridge, charge the batteries, run through the checklist and head off again.

This weekend we are returning to Springbrook National Park. The sites are on a first come basis, unfortunately for us we arrive on dusk and good sites may be gone. By good site I mean solar access, privacy, space, level, and not near the toilet block.

Hard to miss the sign, but I did.

Quiet Bliss in Kin Kin: Hinterland Hiking, Starry Nights & Cooroora Summit

Discovered KinKin, a hidden gem in South East Queensland. 3.5-hour drive north, arrived at the showground by 10:30. Perfect timing - had the oval to ourselves. KinKin offers peaceful countryside, starry nights, and a chance to unwind. It's an ideal spot for those seeking a quiet getaway in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
