Up early, and drive north to do my tri club thing, then home by 8:30am, pack the pod, go to river at Brunswick Heads for coffee and a swim on the tide, then off southward on adventure #02.
Arrive at camp. Walked in and was offered a choice of 5 sites for a Saturday night stopover. After inspection, we choose number 2 coz it had a nice outlook and some shade. 30 minutes later, pod levelled, annexe up, chairs, tables bed all ready. One thing we love about the Wotpod, is that we can lock it up and then get into the car to go and explore nearby. A quick drive into Ballina for live oysters, prawns and other essentials, then back at camp by 2pm and we were ready to chill.

Next day, an early run along the magnificent trail that runs between Lennox Head and Ballina. I was moved by the monument to the massacres that happened to the first nation Bundjalung people.

I’m adding a link to the voice recordings of the people most qualified to talk about it. Sad times….
Then it was time to clean up, pack up, and head home. Another night ticked off, a few more lessons learned. (Like lift the kings awning mount 15 cm so the tent wall hangs from the correct height).
